If you don't like cats, then you don't like Jesus.

I love that avatar. =)

Started watching Merlin again! It was that or Grimm and my guy likes Merlin better. One thing that still drives me nuts (besides the fact I've seen eye-glasses on the show), but Gwen is so NOT a Guinevere it drives me nuts. Maybe it has less to do with the actress and more to do with hair & make-up and the writing, but she is suppposed to be this gorgeous creature that stops Lancelot and Arthur in their tracks ya know? And she's frumpy.

Ya know, Gwen used to bug me, but I dig her now. I like her as a character but still have issues with her AS Gwen, if that makes sense. She and the guy who played Arthur used to date IRL. Apparently, that didn't work and she's dating Sir Leon now.

But, yeah, she kind of broke the Gwen mold there and not necessarily for the better.

What season are you on now?

You know the type that would have made a good Gwen and broke the blonde-chick mold is someone like the girl that plays Bonnie on Vampire Diaries - Katerina Graham. She's go-geous. Image

I love Kat Graham, even though Bonnie can get a wee bit self-righteous at times (she IS rocking this season, I think). I like the actress (gwen) in how she handles her part. I think she is good at what she does, but her look just seems off to me. Even in the glam shots I've seen of her, she doesn't have the royalty factor that Morgana has (or Kat Graham for that matter).

She and "Sir Leon" do look cute together.

Good grief. I'm getting so fangirl right now. The dudes on the board are going to start chanting "sewing circle" any minute.

Ahh, to hell with you blokes.

Here's Bo from Lost Girl to bring you fellas back...

Total worthy of girl-crushes.

They need a new "hottest women in sci-fi/fantasy" edition for some magazine. Soon. The last one I saw had the Galactica girls and a few others. We're due.

On that list would be:

Anna Silk
Rachel Skarsten (Tamsin)
Emilia Clark from Game of Thrones (I also like the actress who plays Sansa)
Lena Headey too
Katie McGrath from Merlin (Morgana)

Not to say that Anna Silk is an unattractive woman in the least, I've just always found her to be outshined in most cases by a large portion of the female cast, including Kenzi, Tamsin, The Morrigan, any number of background extras/single-episode-nobodies, etc. She's a hell of a lot more attractive than Lauren, though, so I guess she's got that going for her. I just find it interesting that, as the lead, she so often seems sort of plain and lost in the mix. Of course, this is personal opinion and all.

I can understand that, BLS. I also think we need to add Kenzi to our "hot list" above. That actress is gorgeous.

I think Kenzi is far, far more beautiful than Bo. She's my favorite character on the show.

Started watching House of Cards - really good show! I couldn't get into Newsroom though. Not sure why, only made it through two episodes.

Newsroom was good and awful at the same time... I'm not quite sure how I made it through the whole season.

I'm really anxious for Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad to start.
For a few shows like these, I'll make time :)

Vikings is a solid little show. It's nothing HUGE and EPIC, but it's decent. It's by the same guy who created the Tudors. I watched the first episode and thought, "hmm, interesting. We'll try again next week."

Then I watched episode 2 and thought, "hmm, still interesting. Will try again next week."

Maybe it's the Dread Pirate Roberts of shows right now? :)

Gabriel Byrne is awesome, but then again, he's Gabriel Byrne. Right now, it feels slightly predictable at times, but it has interesting characters and you find yourself pulled into clan/earldom politics. The wife character makes me LOL (in a good way) because she does NOT take shit from anyone. And holy shit, the queen is played by Jessalyn Gilsig who played Mr. Shu's wife on Glee (season 1). I just figured that out. She is a total snatch, too, but in an awesome way.
