The All-Encompassing "TV SHOW" LIST

Post by Alluveal » Sun Feb 10, 2013 12:44 pm

I'm curious what everyone is watching. Feel free to add things that you remember later.

Right now:

Amazon Prime Streaming - Grimm season 1 (almost done)

Monday nights: Lost Girl, Being Human US
Tuesday nights:
Wednesday nights: Arrow, Supernatural
Thursday nights: The Big Bang Theory, Vampire Diaries,
Saturday nights: Nada
Sunday nights: Once Upon a Time (almost ready to quit this one, but I keep watching it), Revenge, Downton Abbey, The Walking Dead

In queue:
Homeland Season 2
Continuum (haven't seen any of it yet)
Buffy (haven't seen the series except for 1-2 episodes)

Recently finished:
Fringe (entire series)
Stargate Universe (entire series)

Coming soon....
Game of Thrones season 3

I know there are more. I can't believe there is nothing on Tuesday nights. Hmmm.

Arrow is the mega-surprise hit this season, imho. Really well done.

I'll have to check out Arrow. We have a lot of cross-over in our TV interests. =)

Most everything I'm watching is via Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Amazon Prime Videos, or other means. Just not exactly the night it's broadcast, so I don't have a "day of the week thing" other than Walking Dead, I"m always watching the next night because I have a season pass for it. I gave up on Once Upon a Time this season.

Things I am or were watching -
Downton Abbey S3 (have it on Amazon Prime, so I've already seen this entire season)
American Horror Story
Walking Dead
Vampire Diaries
Supernatural - I'm a half-hearted watcher of this last season
Lost Girl
Revenge
Girls (lulu got me into this one)
Fringe
Parks & Rec
Grimm - I need to get caught up on this season
I try to catch a lot of the Daily Show/Colbert Report and Real Time episodes

Looking forward to the next season -
Game of Thrones S3
Homeland S2- getting from a friend
Sons of Anarchy
Survivor - I can't help it, I always enjoy working out the elliptical watching this

Not new -
Star Trek: Next Generation (almost done with my rewatch of this)
Dexter: I'm on season 7 right now
Thinking about checking out Eureka, Warehouse whatever, Spartacus...

Ya know, I want to check out Eureka too. If you give it a shot, lemme know how it is.

Arrow is pretty fucking cool. It's not perfect and there are some "soapish" moments, but it is new territory for the CW in terms of going dark for superheroes. None of the Smallville bullshit teenage crap (and yeah, I totally watched Smallville). They are laying down some serious groundwork for the series and it's coming along so well.

I tried Beauty and the Beast and could not finish the first episode.

Downton Abbey is on Amazon Prime? I missed like the last 3 episodes, too. I'll have to go look.

Fringe is kickass. I know people bitched about some stuff, but imho, it did everything right that the X-Files got wrong. And Walter Bishop is a god. :D

Things I've heard things about, but haven't checked yet:

Misfits
the new Dr. Who

I love Dexter. I think I stopped at the end of season 3? It was the season where Dexter killed his gal's ex? Now that I think about it, that was Mark Pellegrino, wasn't it.

As for Supernatural, it's been lame this season, BUT, the last few episodes have actually been good. The Golem episode brought it back to Supernatural awesomeness, imho.

I love Curb your Enthusiasm!

I was watching the Larry Sanders Show the other day on cable. I forgot how funny that was too.

Suits is good, I just wish they would stop being so frickin family friendly. Show has/had potential to be awesome but I always end up going "meh". I think I've just been spoiled by real good shows.

Lu, I should have said it's avail on Amazon Videos, not a free Prime thing. I bought a season pass for S3, and a few weeks ago they made avail to people with a season pass, the last 4 episodes before they were broadcast. They might be avail for individual purchase before broadcast, but I'm not positive. Not exactly a spoiler, but kind of..

So I've seen the entire season and I'm pretty pissed off at the season ending, but won't get into that until it's been broadcast.
I tried Beauty and the Beast and could not finish the first episode.
I think I watched episode 1 (& tried to give 2 a shot), but went nope, nope nope.

Meow listen, Minute, I have it on my radar.

Harlowe, I know that a certain actor isn't coming back on Downton, so I assume something horrific happens.

More half-spoilerish talk

You'd be correct. It's not the writers fault, they were stuck trying to figure something out because the actor chose not to come back. Bastid!
I need to check out House of Cards as well.

My list:

Walking Dead.
Breaking Bad.

Also giving Lost a rewatch currently. Probably going to quit at the end of S5 though - story's better that way.
And the bf and I watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Big Bang Theory as they come out on disc.
