You know Garr was using his picture for so long there I just forgot he hadn't spoken in a while.

He had some health related problems, yes?

Along with love in all the wrong places.

Hmm, wait. This might be going someplace a little twisted.

Hey all!

I'm alive. Just been WAY WAY WAY too busy to do much "Playing on the internet"

School is going great. Still have my 4.0 GPA. But maintaining that 4.0 is kind of a crazy thing. It is almost an unhealthy obsession. You can never get a B. Once B and your 4.0 is gone FOREVER and you can NEVER get it back. The way I look at it the unhealthy obsession is good. I flunked out of college twice back in the late 80's early 90's. I just couldn't bring myself to give a shit about my classes. Maintaining my 4.0 is a great motivator. So is being a grown up and paying for all my stuff out of pocket. When I was 19 and getting student loans, it didn't seem like real money. Now It does. Take a look at how much you are paying for that class. Divide it by the number of lectures. Now picture that in cash. Picture yourself withdrawing that money from a cash machine, then putting a lit match to the crisp new bills. Skipping a class you paid for is just like that.

Work is going good as well but also crazy busy. In school I've been learning all sorts of things that apply to the work my department does. So I'm getting all sorts of projects dumped on me relating to these new skills. And I still have to do all my other stuff. So I no longer have any slack time where I can fuck around on the internet and argue politics and popular culture with all you trolls. Fortunately my boss has made it clear to me that he recognizes the increased value that I bring to the department and will remember that when I get my review.

So that's pretty much the short version. Life is going well, but I have little free time these days. I have a final in Linux Admin one tonight, and a final in CCNA2 tomorrow night. Then I get a few weeks off till school starts again in January.

I honestly miss you guys. I may never have seen your faces, and we may have spent the last 10 years bitching at each other, But there isn't a one of you that I wouldn't have a beer with or help move if you lived in town. (Though I wouldn't touch anything that had been in Gardor's bedroom, or bathroom, or kitchen, or... Never mind. I would help anyone but Grador move. But I would have lots of beer with him.)
"A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and best intentions still tell me that's true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not." - Ronald Reagan 1987

Good to hear you're doing well.

Last time I had a 4.0... well, hmmm. Fuck :(

Anyways, don't worry - I'll continue to subliminally provide your presence to these boards (weither you like it or not) while you're AFK.

Yay! Klast is alive and doing good in school! I'm sure at least 3 of us took that 'if you lived in town we could get beer' as 'come stay on my couch for a while and drink my beer'. If only I didn't hate the Vikings. I mean, the dicks are still wearing Ethereal Mist...the LEAST they could do is upgrade to Donal's stuff of Mourning. Morning? How the fuck should I remember all that. Glad to hear you're doing well, Klast. Hopefully with the holiday break coming up you'll have a bit more time to relax.

Hey Klast, good to hear things are going so well! And really, good for you on the grades. That's an obsession I can admire!

I'm crazy busy at work too and have had very little time to fool around on the computer - other than the time I make for Dragon Age. MUST DO THAT!

Have a great Christmas!
