Re: Rust

Yeah, the thing I've found is that you have to have a group of friends or you can't hope to compete. I gave up on the game, after 120-ish hours just because as someone who likes to do shit solo, this game isn't viable. The only alternative is to go to a nearly dead server (less than 30 people at pea...

Re: SuperBowl Thread

I was glad the Seahawks won and the first half was enjoyable. I don't like Manning, but it's sad that his legacy will now be that he fails to show up for the big games. He threw 2 absolutely horrendous picks. Stuff I'd expect from a first year QB, not a hall of famer with so much experience under hi...

Re: Rust

I dunno what that dude is talking about being 'armed to the teeth' in 20 mins, Minute. I've had servers where I go 5 days, next to a rad town and still don't have an M4, Bolt Action Rifle or shotgun. In other words, I don't have any of the guns that actually might give me a chance in hell of survivi...

Re: Rust

Was bored last night so I picked this up on Steam. It is very easy to get to the moderate stages. Having said that, the game (or at least the server I'm on) is just pure KoS. If you see a person, you kill them or they kill you. There is no diplomacy at all. Which is kinda cool, but also really annoy...

Re: Rust

I pretty much agree with everything you've said Minute. I have a feeling that Rust will cut down on the instant gratification bullshit once they actually hit release. I hope anyway, that the game is just sped up currently so that they could test things. The instant gratification crew actually serves...

Rust

I know it's only in Alpha but has anyone played this game yet? I never got into Day Z as zombies aren't really my thing. Rust is apparently Day Z with a few changes and no zombies. Everything is player built, etc. and it really seems to thrive on the idea of a fully multiplayer ideal. I thought it l...

Don't think he is, but it wouldn't necessarily shock me, either. He's a hell of an actor, eitherway.

Sounds like you need to build a new one too, Dd! Join the craze! I have to admit, I am really loving having a new PC. I forgot how nice it is to never have any loss of FPS regardless of settings.

Re: Build me a computer, geeks!

Finally got around to completing it and still haven't bothered to pull all the old crap off my other computer. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. The only issue I've noticed is that if I leave it running, it seems to shut off like there was a power outage. I have to turn off the PSU and then rest...

Re: Build me a computer, geeks!

Hey folks, for those that're curious, I ordered all the parts, but haven't had time to assemble everything. I'm hoping to finally build this rig of mine tomorrow or Friday, if I can get some free time. I'll try and post pics for those that're interested in what the final build looks like. As an asid...

I loved this quote.
Minecraft teaches children that you can create your own tools by combining ingredients instead of the American way of ordering online or going to Walmart.
Priceless. I love these guys.

On the bright side, this is a small representation of the populace. And half of them were just trying to be witty (and failing miserably). Unfortunately, the stupid people are often the loudest.

Whoa, I remember first meeting Khoren in uh... One of those swamps in Kunark. Where the undead Frog spawned for the Druid epic. Sure enough Khoren's such a stand-up guy, he sent me a message asking if I wanted it killed. 10 years later or so,(actually 10 years... I got it like last year) I completed...

I can't believe I sat through that 20 minute video and then still felt compelled to actually login! Lotta memories.

Harlowe's got a pretty sweet doctor, though... not too many medical professionals would think to treat chickenpox with LSD.

Re: Final Fantasy 14: ARR

I tried Final Fantasy... 11 was it? The first MMO and well... It was just so god awful. It might have been the 'longest' grinding game I've ever seen. I don't think I got passed level 14 or something like that. I actually found the box for it the other day with all the stuff. Is it even still around...

Re: Build me a computer, geeks!

Gonna be putting the order in for the peripherals on September 23rd. Should have everything in by October, then it's just a matter of finding time to put it all together. Should have the box up and running by mid-October. Thanks for all the help, folks. As always, your knowledge is greatly appreciat...

Re: Build me a computer, geeks!

Looks like the Samsung is the best option for me at this price point and size. Is there anything else comparable at this stage?

Starting to get excited to order. I'm gonna start trying to convince the company to order soon. Either that or I'll just suck it up and buy the other peripherals now.

Re: Build me a computer, geeks!

The OCZ Vector series was listed pretty high on the passmark page. Would that be a better option? It's only $260 right now. It's a pretty big step up from both the Samsung Pro and the Sandisk I listed according to Minute's list.
