Re: Across the Universe

All the actors sang their parts in a studio. Overdubs on a film like this is common. Chicago, Sweeny Todd, The Doors, Hairspray, etc... all the same. It's not like some other person sang their parts.

Re: McCain dividing the GOP?

There's no way in hell I'd vote for a Dem in this election. There may be a future election that I would, depending on the circumstance, but this isn't one of them.

It's just a great film. If you had never heard the Beatles before you'd still like it. Unless, of course, you hate musicals.

Re: Across the Universe

We finally got around to watching this last night. Best film released in 2007, hands down. The acting was great and the story was exceptionally creative and entertaining. I have to give a lot of credit to the director, Julie Taymor. The unique way this film was put together was most excellent. A few...

Re: If Obama takes the lead....

There are no available combinations of Republican candidates that would defeat a Obama-Clinton ticket. If fact, no Republicans that have ran in the last 20 years could beat that ticket.

Re: Clinton v. Obama

Vince Foster suicide? Um, I don't think Mr. Foster pulled the trigger.

Maggie Williams was the one that took the papers out of Foster's office? Nice. Glad to see the Clinton's remember who got them there.

Re: Now that Romney is out..

Powell is the ultimate non-politician choice and an interesting juxiposition next to either Dem nominee; a black man or a former first lady and whoever their running mate would be.

Re: Sunshine

I hated it. Epic failure IMO. That film had incredible potential and failed in just about every category. It needed another good hour of story and character development. I know sci-fi plots are deliberately clouded and take some leaps of faith on the audience's part, but this one was just bad. I giv...

Re: Journalists discover what is common knowledge

There is one military solution that it will never be attempted. It was covered in the 1964 film "Dr. Strangelove."
