Re: Why I think Trump won

I was never interested in voting (I have dual citizenship, but I primarily reside in Canada, so I choose not to vote on US elections) and for the most part, I don't follow the US political scene and elections too closely. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but was the voter turnout this year s...

I live in Canada now, so I don't have this game. Please, my American friends, rub in my face how much fun it is.

Re: Any Brell / CT old schoolers been hitting P1999?

I really don't have the time to get into this seriously, but I do have a few questions regarding P1999. What if any changes have they made? In particular, is it the exact same content, no additional quests, etc. or did they implement stuff of their own? Also, is the experience rate still the same? I...

Re: Crowfall

I was a big fan of Shadowbane and this is essentially a successor to that game. I'm hoping it improves on the many flaws of that game and is able to hold a stable population. Based on what I read on their site, much like Shadowbane you can expect the end-game content to almost exclusively be PvP war...

Game recommendations?

Anyone got a few suggestions on decent PC games at that moment? I'm looking for something to tide me over until GTA V is released next week. I'm tired of pretty much everything I've got at the moment. Last game I really enjoyed was probably Dragon Age Inquisition. Basically, anything strategy/RPG th...

Re: PostSecret Nod to EQ

Just hearing people talk about death loops still hits a nerve with me. I still owe Ickhor a beer for saving my ass when I wound up in a vicious one after a Vox raid or something. Think I lost 5 or 6 levels, or something and this was pre-Velious, but post-Kunark when levelling from 50-60 sucked a big...

I downloaded and played it for a little bit about a year ago. I ran into Bangzoom once or twice. Not sure if he's still playing, though.

Re: 'The Interview' cancelled

The hacking and spying thing isn't really a big deal in my mind. It just seemed more meaningful considering they got caught and turned around and outright threatened to attack American citizens. In my mind, that's barely a step down from a declaration of war. I just don't understand how/why the Whit...

Re: 'The Interview' cancelled

FBI released a statement yesterday putting these threats at the feet of the North Korean government. Which raises an interesting question: Is this not a blatant threat to commit terrorist acts on American soil by a foreign government? One that has been apparently caught with their hand in the cookie...

'The Interview' cancelled

I don't know if this should be in the politics section, but I was curious what you guys thought about this. Apparently, due to the Sony Hack escapade, they've cancelled the release of the The Interview. Frankly, I'm amazed that anyone (even Kim Jong-Un) could take a Rogen/Franco movie so seriously a...

Re: Dragon Age Inquisition - Nov 2014

I bought this the other night on a whim and have to say I'm actually really enjoying it. They took all the good stuff from DA:O and fixed a lot of the downsides. I haven't really gotten too deep into it yet, only about 4 hours in but these are the things I've noticed. The scope of the world is truly...

Re: Dragon Age Inquisition - Nov 2014

I don't mind a more Elder Scrolls type feel to the game, I just hope they can somewhat include the various elements of choice from the first two. I'd just like to see a game where dialogue options actually impacted the outcome of the story in a more meaningful and far-reaching way. It makes those ch...

Re: Dragon Age Inquisition - Nov 2014

A few months ago, I replayed Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 along with all of their DLC. I'm still looking pretty forward to this release and will probably buy it a week or two after it comes out and the initial bugs have been fixed and some reviews can tell me what to expect. Does anyone else get anno...

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy

I enjoyed this movie. Not quite on par with the Avengers, but few movies will be, especially within the same genre. Good light-hearted but still quasi-serious flick if you want something that's easy on the mind for a couple hours. My only small issue with it is that I found the pacing to be a little...

Re: New Game of Thrones

For me it isn't that I'm put off by the wait. It's that I think he doesn't know how to finish his own story. Frankly, I haven't enjoyed the last few books as much as the first three. It seems to me that Martin is floundering and I doubt that he is capable of bringing it all together. That's what I t...

Re: New Game of Thrones

Interesting read, Harlowe. I'm torn on whether or not I agree with Gaiman, though. On the one hand, he's right in saying that fans don't have a 'right' to be badgering an author over having a life. On the other hand, I feel like this isn't a case of simply; "George hasn't released book 6, how dare h...
