"War Crimes" - It's very well known that threats to familys don't prevent terrorism, in fact they make it worse because the recruiters have an easier time painting the US as the bad guys. "We'll fight for your beliefs and protect your family, but that US President will kill them all even if they're...

Re: USSC and Hobby Lobby

The court issued "clarifications" on the day after issuing Hobby Lobby, by remanding a large number of other cases to lower courts. The entire mandate is subject to religious objection - all 20 compounds, and all related counseling. Narrow decision, sure. Narrow like the mouth of the Amazon, maybe....

and this case includes the right to refuse to allow your doctor to even TALK to you about specific procedures or medications. Under the hobby lobby decision, if a doctor tells you that an IUD exists, the insurance company is not permitted to pay for the visit, let alone for the IUD. I wonder why HH...

Re: USSC and Hobby Lobby

I seriously don't even know why this ever happened. Why is contraception immediately medically necessary? It is a choice. Employers should not be forced to cover elective procedures or medicine. EVER.

Thanks for listening.

Re: Volkswagen and Tennesee

Your entire argument hinges on UAW being the only option. It is not. The workers can still legally organize and meet the requirements of the law without the UAW financial and political baggage. I hope they do. I am not an opponent of workers organizing. Given the context of GOP attacks on all union...

Re: Volkswagen and Tennesee

I have to agree with Kulaf here. Why shouldn't the GOP in Tennessee be opposed to this. They went to great effort to bring a couple thousand good paying jobs to Tennessee. Why would they want to allow a union that supports their opponents to come in and perturb their deal? And what does UAW really b...

Re: Hey John Boehner my balls are dry again!

It looks like October 14th or 15th the Tea Party will have to figure out a new way to screw America. I just received an e-mail from my rep. George Miller describing what the House Democrats are currently doing. On October 4th they submitted a bill (H. Res 372) to the House Rules Committee to bring t...

Not that I wish any personal hurt towards you Tora, but you DO work for the TSA. Which almost by definition, is non-essential. Re: Hey John Boehner my balls are dry again!

It sounds like 15-18 Republicans have jumped ship, at least enough to get a clean bill passed, but Boehner isn't letting them vote on it. Yep. At one point the Democrats lined up to make motions to table the nonsense they were doing and bring the clean CR to a vote but the Speaker pro tempore (sinc...
